Clinical Nurse Med Surg Part Time

Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care activities on a 43-bed Med/Surg unit while promoting patient and family-centered care in a healing environment. Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment home care, and medication administration. Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, ensuring communication across the continuum of care. Use critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, including patient preferences and cultural values. Participate in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. This safety-sensitive position requires constant alertness and is eligible for the BJC RN Career Ladder, offering opportunities for professional development and pay increases aligned with new job descriptions.
