Job Summary
Direct supervisory leadership of the Nursing team, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and efficient admission/discharge throughput. Manage clinical assignments based on patient needs and staff competencies while directing, monitoring, and evaluating nursing care against established policies. Collaborate with management to assess care quality, support service recovery, and operationalize initiatives like nurse leader rounding and hourly rounds. Provide feedback and coaching to staff, oversee performance evaluations, and recommend training for new hires. Assist with staff scheduling, manage labor productivity, control inventory, and coordinate with medical staff for patient care management. Escalate regulatory issues promptly and demonstrate initiative during unsupervised situations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- 1-3 years Minimum of 1 year clinical experience
- Evidence of leadership experience
- Knowledge of general nursing principles and practice skills
- Knowledge of organizational functions, policies and regulations
- Applicable knowledge of technical skills related to worked clinical area
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of KY or WV, depending on legal state of residence
- BLS
- ACLS within six (6) months of hire (ED, Critical Care, OR and Specialty Areas/Units Only)
- PALS within six (6) months of hire (ED, OR, Med/Surg Peds)
- NRP and AWHONN fetal monitoring w/in six (6) months (Maternal/Child Only)
- TNCC within six (6) months of hire (ED Only)
- De-Escalation Training within six (6) months of hire (all units)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- 2 years clinical experience
- Professional Nursing Certification
