Job Summary
Coordinate nursing care in collaboration with other healthcare disciplines and assist the Manager in daily staffing plans and allocation of staff. Maintain unit operations by tracking admissions, discharges, and transfers while serving as a resource for patient care delivery. Lead clinical management through supervision, delegation, and teaching, ensuring application of the nursing process and documentation of patient care. Participate in recruitment, selection, and performance evaluations, and contribute to quality improvement and root cause analysis investigations. Support evidence-based practice and interdepartmental relationship building as a voting member on Shared Governance Councils.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing
- 2-3 years nursing experience in related or similar areas of responsibility
- Previous leadership experience such as precepting, charge role, clinical lead role, mentoring, department committee leadership or facilitation of meetings
- Evening shift availability

- May require advance training in specialty areas
- Specialized knowledge in nursing process and clinical skills
- Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships, verbal and written communication and nursing practice standards
- Skills in computer applications as appropriate to area(s) of responsibility
