Job Summary
Ensure clinical standards and home policies are consistently followed while monitoring nursing staff compliance and drug administration. Create monthly stock inventories and place orders for goods. Collaborate with Care Assistants and Staff Nurses, working with the Director of Nursing on performance reviews and training. Examine recent admissions to verify care planning, execution, and assessment recording. Support the Director of Nursing in all duties to ensure efficient function during annual leave. Manage daily tasks including roster updates, handovers, and resident advancement assessments. Maintain a visible presence with the team to enhance clinical practice. Full-time permanent role in County Wexford requiring BSc in General Nursing and NMBI registration.
Required Qualifications
- BSc in General Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Registered on the NMBI Live Register
- Previous managerial training and/or experience (advantageous)
- Demonstrated excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Proven sound clinical and managerial decision-making ability
- Ability to motivate self and others and work effectively on own initiative
- Strong ability to work collaboratively and promote a positive team environment
