Job Summary
Clinical Nurse Manager Emergency with 24-hour accountability for the nursing unit in an ED that is a certified Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Trauma Center. Leads policy/procedure development, fiscal/resource management, and interprofessional collaboration to ensure high-quality, safe patient care. Oversees unit goals, program development, performance improvement, and a culture of safety; supports retention and diversity. Requires BSN, 2 years of clinical nursing experience, 1 year of leadership, BLS, and ACLS within 90 days; must obtain Nursing Administration or Professional/Specialty Certification within 12 months of assuming the role. On-site dayshift with on-call rotation; comprehensive benefits and a drug-free workplace; on-site vaccine requirement in certain settings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) Required
- 2 years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required
- 2 years of emergency nursing experience Strongly Preferred
- 1 year of recent relevant leadership Required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- ACLS Required within 90 days
- Nurse Managers in inpatient and outpatient units are REQUIRED to obtain their Nursing Administration or Professional/Specialty Certification within 12 months of assuming the role, or within 12 months of achieving eligibility to sit for the exam if not eligible upon hire in to the role.
