Job Summary
Assist the Manager in accountability for ongoing delivery of patient care, ensuring application of the nursing process and documentation of care in the medical record. Coordinate nursing care with other healthcare disciplines, manage daily staffing plans, and allocate staff based on volume and patient needs. Maintain unit operations regarding admissions, discharges, and transfers while participating in recruitment, selection, retention, and performance evaluations. Lead clinical management through supervision, delegation, and teaching, actively contributing to quality improvement, root cause analysis, and shared governance councils. Support evidence-based practice by encouraging staff involvement in nursing evaluative research and fostering culturally competent care. Requires a Bachelor's Degree, BLS certification, and RN license with 2-3 years of nursing experience. Night shift, 40 weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing
- 2-3 years nursing experience in related or like areas of responsibility
- Previous leadership experience such as precepting, charge role, clinical lead role, mentoring, department committee leadership or facilitation of meetings
- Night shift availability
- Specialized knowledge in nursing process and clinical skills
- Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships, verbal and written communication and nursing practice standards
- Skills in computer applications as appropriate to area(s) of responsibility
