Job Summary
Manage and evaluate evidence-based patient care delivery in the Cardiac and Vascular Surgery unit, ensuring safe environments and continuous quality improvement through root cause analysis. Coordinate nursing staffing schedules, allocate resources for volume and patient needs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across the health care continuum. Lead personnel by participating in recruitment, performance appraisals, and professional development, while serving as a patient safety coach and voting member on Shared Governance Councils. Support fiscal management and unit operations by utilizing human and material resources efficiently. Requires prior Operating Room experience, a Bachelor's in Nursing, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: Nursing
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing
- Bachelor of science in Nursing
- Current Basic Life support Provider
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Ohio
- 2 yrs. nursing Experience related or similar to areas of responsibility
- Previous leadership Experience such as precepting, charge role, mentoring, department committee leadership or facilitation of meetings
- Prior Operating Room experience
Desired Qualifications
- BLS Certification May require advanced training in specialty area
- Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships, verbal and written communication and nursing practice standards
- Computer applications spreadsheets, word processing
