Job Summary
Oversee Emergency Department nursing operations during day shifts, supervising staff, delegating tasks, and evaluating performance to maintain high-quality patient care. Coordinate patient flow, manage bed assignments, and lead interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians and support personnel to resolve care delivery issues. Conduct rounding, monitor safety and infection control protocols, and facilitate quality improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with hospital policies. Respond to emergencies within the unit and provide direct leadership as necessary. Requires RN licensure, BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with 1-2 years of ED experience and preferred charge nurse background. Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in ED
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
