Job Summary
Oversee operations of the Telemetry unit during night shifts, supervising nursing staff, delegating tasks, and evaluating performance to maintain high care standards. Manage patient care plans, coordinate with healthcare teams, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures. Monitor patient flow, conduct rounding, and lead efforts in quality improvement initiatives while responding to emergencies as needed. Requires 1-2 years of clinical experience, BLS, and ACLS certification. Full-time night shift position at Northwest Medical Center, a Level III Trauma Center in Tucson, offering a $20,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Strong clinical knowledge and ability to oversee complex patient care
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with interdisciplinary teams
- Leadership and mentoring skills to manage staff and promote a positive work environment
- Ability to assess, prioritize, and manage multiple patients and tasks
- Proficiency in using hospital information systems and clinical documentation tools
- Knowledge of infection control protocols, safety standards, and quality improvement practices
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills for addressing unit challenges and emergencies
