Job Summary
Provide direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within labor and delivery standards. Promote patient and family-centered care by educating families on illness management, post-treatment home care, and medication administration. Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, ensuring communication across the continuum of care. Use critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs while evaluating patient preferences and barriers to involvement. Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while advancing through the BJC RN Career Ladder. Work nights from 7 pm to 7:30 am every third weekend with 12 hours of call in a six-week schedule.
