Clinical Nurse Labor & Delivery

Provides direct patient care activities in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient- and family-centered care, educates patients and families on illness/injury management and post-treatment home care, and administers medications. Collaborates with the interprofessional team to develop and communicate individual plans of care, ensures continuity of care across the continuum, supports patient safety and regulatory compliance, and engages in professional development. This is a safety-sensitive RN role with night shifts, weekend rotations, and on-call requirements. The department is part of Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, MO, a Magnet-certified facility with a history of high-quality nursing care.
