Clinical Nurse Labor & Delivery

Provides direct patient care activities in Labor & Delivery, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient- and family-centered care, educates patients and families on illness/injury management and post-treatment needs, and participates in patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Develops and documents individualized plans of care with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patient, and caregiver. Demonstrates advanced nursing skills to address physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and population-specific needs. The unit is a 23-bed Labor & Delivery environment within Barnes-Jewish Hospital, a Magnet-designated facility, with a focus on high-quality patient experiences. Role supports the career ladder progression and may involve call and rotating night shifts.
