Job Summary
Provides competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting within the Special Progressive Care Unit, using the nursing process and reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director. Responsibilities include education of patients and families, evaluating and revising plans of care with the interdisciplinary team, implementing care for patients with complex problems, leadership activities to promote professional growth and unit performance, thorough patient assessment and planning, and engaging with journals or study material to inform practice. Requires graduation from a school of professional nursing, NC RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least one year of nursing experience. Work is onsite with a day shift and a 36-hour/week schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a school of professional nursing
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
- One (1) year of nursing experience
