Job Summary
Clinical Nurse II – Mohs Surgery: Independently plans and provides professional nursing care for Mohs Ambulatory Clinic patients. Provides direct patient care, preps patients for Mohs layers and reconstructive surgery, assists with surgeries, delivers post-operative care, and performs instrument processing. Maintains patient education and communication with patients and families, ensures environmental safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA/JCAHO), supports staff development as a nurse preceptor, and collaborates with leadership to ensure adequate supplies and clinic operations. Emphasizes exemplary customer service, problem-solving, assertiveness, and teamwork; ensures efficient clinic flow and timely patient care across the Mohs surgery service.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Current or compact RN licensure in North Carolina; BLS certification
- Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience; BSN or higher required or eligible for BSN enrollment within two years and complete within five years
- Ability to enroll in BSN program within two years of start date and complete within five years
- Nursing competency and continuous professional development requirements (exact trainings like OESO/LMS due in September, etc.)
