Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse II in the Float Pool is responsible for implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, and performing treatments and procedures. The role requires evaluating diagnostic tests and assessing patient conditions, as well as providing both primary and emergency care. Ideal candidates possess a nursing degree, a current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and have a minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with knowledge of quality improvement principles, are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program yielding a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
Desired Qualifications
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Excellent communication skills
