Job Summary
Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments and procedures for pediatric patients. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions while applying sound nursing judgment in care management decisions. Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care. Maintain standards of professional nursing by directing ancillary personnel and documenting all treatments per policy. Requires current NYS RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification, with 1-3 years of Med-Surg or Progressive Care experience. Night shift from 7pm to 7:30am, 36 hours weekly.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
- Excellent communication skills

- Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques
