Job Summary
Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments and procedures while documenting care per policy. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions and needs. Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions and provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries. Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients and direct ancillary personnel to maintain professional standards. This role involves night shifts in Neuro Progressive Care at Albany Medical Center, offering excellent health coverage and support programs within a Level 1 trauma center environment.

- Administers over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered

- Ensures access to information is based on a 'need to know'
- Ensures use or disclosure does not exceed the minimum amount of information needed
