Job Summary
Provide primary and emergency nursing care in Neuro Progressive Care (D5E). Implement physician orders, administer medications and IVs, perform treatments and tests, interpret diagnostics, and develop plans of care in collaboration with the nursing team. Maintain patient safety and quality standards, supervise ancillary staff, and ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of information. Requires NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS, and 1-3 years Med-Surg/Progressive Care experience. Day shift, 36 hours/week, located at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. This role supports a compassionate, patient- and family-centered environment and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- NYS Registered Nurse license
- Graduate of a nursing program with Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
