Job Summary
Per Diem Part-time Clinical Nurse I in the Main Operating Room. The RN provides primary nursing care in the Operating Room, serves as Circulator, understands Scrub role including passing instruments to surgeons, maintains sterile environment, adheres to aseptic techniques, anticipates the needs of the surgical team, and acts as the patient advocate to ensure safety. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to maintain standards of professional nursing practice, participates in performance improvement activities to enhance patient safety and outcomes, and addresses diverse patient populations with cultural sensitivity. Requires BSN, NYS RN license, BLS; ACLS preferred; 1.5+ years OR experience (orthopedics preferred); per diem role with minimum 3 shifts/month.
Required Qualifications
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing required
- NYS RN license and registration required
- AHA BLS certification required
- AHA ACLS preferred
- Per Diem - Minimum 3 shifts per month, Monday-Friday, no weekends
- Experience REQUIRED 1.5 + years of operating room experience, preferably in orthopedics
