Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive outpatient nursing care for patients in ambulatory settings, including rooming patients, administering medication injections, and conducting pre-calls prior to new patient visits. Systematically collect health data from patients and families, analyze assessment results to determine diagnoses, and respond to patient messages via phone and electronically in EPIC. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely physician orders are followed, follow up on lab results, and educate patients on healthy adjustments to their health patterns. Maintain cultural sensitivity and participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient safety and quality of care.
Required Qualifications
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- 2+ years' experience in an outpatient medicine or inpatient setting
- NYS RN license and registration
- BLS certification
- Solid assessment skills
- Critical thinking skills
