Clinical Nurse - High Risk Perinatal Center

Job Summary
Care for patients with complications including premature labor, hypertension, diabetes, and autoimmune disease. Interface closely with Labor & Delivery, Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians, Neonatologists, and NICU to coordinate care. Administer Mag for pre-term labor, preeclampsia, and newborn protection. Perform cervical ripening for medically induced patients, conduct cervical checks, and perform fetal monitoring. Provide 24-hour-a-day expert care for hospitalized pregnant women requiring close monitoring to protect maternal and fetal health. Work the 12-hour night shift from 7pm to 7am at the High-Risk Perinatal Center in Silver Spring, MD.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of Antepartum or Labor & Delivery Nursing
- 1 year of hospital experience
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- additional Life Support training as applicable to unit requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- associate's nursing degree (BSN or MSN)
- Must be available for 12 Hour Night Shift
- Must be available for 7pm – 7am shift
