Clinical Nurse GI GU

Provides direct patient care in the GI/GU surgical unit including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family centered care, educates patients and families on managing illness or injury and post-treatment home care needs, and medication administration. Participates in patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance, and professional development. Develops and documents individualized care plans with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family. Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and population-specific needs. The role is safety-sensitive and requires RN licensure; education required includes Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree with preferred Bachelor's degree. Nights shift; sign-on eligible; hospital is Magnet-certified; 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
