Job Summary
Clinical Nurse Educator develops and implements the translation of clinical knowledge into practice, designs and evaluates education programs, and leads orientation and ongoing education initiatives to support interprofessional, learner-centered care. The role provides advice and support to advance nursing practice, applies adult education theory to program design and delivery, facilitates concept-based and collaborative learning, and partners with stakeholders to enhance professional practice and patient outcomes. Strong facilitation and teaching experience, ability to design, implement, and evaluate education strategies (including onboarding and transition-to-practice), and proficiency with Microsoft Suite are required. The position requires travel to facilities across Nova Scotia and supports a culture of learning within the interprofessional practice and learning framework.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
- Active practicing license in good standing with NSCN required
- Minimum three years full-time clinical nursing experience within last five years in Rehabilitation nursing required
- Relevant CNA/other specialty certification required or willing to complete
- BLS-C (HCP) certification required
