Job Summary
Clinical Nurse Educator in Nursing Administration is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating education programs across nursing staff, with emphasis on orientation, competency development, and continuing education. Applies adult learning theories to staff, clients, and community; acts as a consultant on standards of care and change theory; supports Residency/Transition to Practice, Resuscitation Quality Improvement training, and interprofessional education; collaborates with Nursing Managers to ensure high-quality nursing practice; develops and maintains educational records and participates in organizational committees. Requires BSN, RN licensure, and a master's degree in nursing (or MSN enrollment within 1 year with degree completed within 3 years); preferred certification in Nursing Professional Development or related specialty; minimum of 3 years clinical teaching/leadership experience. Travel not indicated; role described as full-time with responsibilities spanning orientation, competency management, education delivery, research/evidence-based practice, and collaborative partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- BSN and current state RN licensure
- Master's degree in nursing or enrollment in MSN within 1 year and completion within 3 years
- Certification in Nursing Professional Development preferred or area of clinical specialty when eligible
- Minimum of three years direct clinical experience in the specialty/with population served
- Ability to develop orientation programs, assess competencies, and support staff development
- Able to collaborate with Nursing Managers and participate in education planning and program evaluation
