Job Summary
Nurse Educator position combines a 0.5 FTE Clinical Nurse Educator role with 0.5 FTE RN unit staffing in 2L Med-Surg/Stroke/Tele. Responsibilities include direct patient care, acting as a clinical resource and mentor, onboarding and education of staff, promoting evidence-based practice, and leading unit-based education initiatives. Requires BSN with MSN preferred, 3-5 years clinical experience, EMR proficiency, strong teaching/presentation skills, and travel within the NorthShore system.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (RN) required
- Minimum 3-5 years nursing experience in a clinical practice setting
- Proficient with Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Proficiency in setting up virtual meetings and presenting to nursing audiences
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Master's Degree in Nursing preferred
- 3-5 years nursing experience in a clinical practice setting
