Job Summary
Clinical Nurse Educator role combines 0.5 FTE as a department-based Nurse Educator with 0.5 FTE RN role on a Med-Surg/Stroke/Tele unit (Evanston, IL). Responsibilities include staff development, just-in-time education, precepting, onboarding, facilitating unit/organization-wide education, mentoring, and collaboration with Clinical Nurse Manager and Coordinators to drive safety, quality outcomes, and patient experience. Requires a Bachelor of Nursing; Master’s preferred; 3-5 years of nursing experience; EMR proficiency; ability to conduct education programs, develop competency requirements, and lead educational activities; willingness to travel within the NorthShore system. Travel to hospitals within the NorthShore network as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Master's Degree preferred
- 3-5 years nursing experience in a clinical practice setting
- Proficient with EMR
- Proficiency in setting up virtual meetings and AV for presentations
- Ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Preceptor experience and leadership abilities
- Willingness to travel within the NorthShore system as needed
