Job Summary
Full-time Clinical Nurse Educator – Department-based role supporting ongoing staff development and 0.5 FTE in RN staffing for 2L Med-Surg/Stroke/Tele; combines education duties with direct patient care and unit staffing support. Educator responsibilities include serving as clinical resource, precepting new nurses, onboarding across unit/system levels, mentoring staff, promoting lifelong learning, and collaborating to drive safety, quality outcomes, and patient experience. Requires Bachelor’s in Nursing; Master’s preferred; 3-5 years of nursing experience; EMR proficiency; strong presentation and communication skills; travel within the NorthShore system as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Previous clinical nursing experience 3-5 years
- Proficient with EMR
- Masters Degree Nursing Preferred
- Ability to set up virtual meetings and AV materials
- Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork
- Communication skills
- Preceptor program completion and experience as preceptor
