Job Summary
Clinical Nurse Educator for a department-based role (0.5 FTE educator + 0.5 FTE RN on Med-Surg/Stroke/Tele) in Evanston, IL. Responsibilities include direct patient care, serving as a clinical resource and mentor, precepting new nurses, coordinating onboarding and education, designing and evaluating educational programs, supporting role transitions and competency development, promoting safety and quality, and traveling to NorthShore hospitals as needed. Requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing (Master’s preferred) with 3-5 years of nursing experience; proficient with EMR and virtual meeting tools; strong collaboration and leadership abilities; ability to develop and deliver education and participate in shared decision-making councils.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required
- 3-5 years nursing experience
- Proficient with Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Proficiency in setting up virtual meetings and use of AV materials in presentations
- Ability to interact with interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Leadership and presentation skills
- Experience as preceptor or precepting
- Travel to NorthShore hospitals as needed
