Job Summary
Clinical Nurse Coordinator Trauma Spine at Mission Health leads and coordinates high-acuity trauma and spine patient care, overseeing daily clinical operations, staffing support, and adherence to evidence-based protocols. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, development of individualized care plans, medication administration, and monitoring patient responses. The role serves as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff, supports interdisciplinary rounds, and drives program development, performance improvement initiatives, and data collection to enhance safety, quality, and patient satisfaction. Collaboration with surgeons, hospitalists, rehabilitation staff, and ancillary departments is essential to optimize outcomes and ensure effective discharge planning and family engagement. Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in good standing
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred
- Clinical leadership or coordinator experience in acute care
- Experience in trauma and spine care
- Ability to develop and implement care plans
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Precepting/mentoring nursing staff
- Participation in performance improvement and data collection
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and evidence-based protocols
- Effective communication and teamwork across interprofessional teams
- Discharge planning and transitions of care experience
- Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
Desired Qualifications
