Job Summary
Clinical Nurse Coordinator Trauma Spine leads nursing care for trauma and spine patients, coordinates daily clinical operations, mentors and precepts nursing staff, and serves as a clinical resource and liaison to the care team. The role involves surveillance of patient flow, staff support, clinical decision-making, implementation of individualized care plans, medication administration, and collaboration with surgeons, hospitalists, rehabilitation specialists, and ancillary departments. Active participation in trauma/spine program development, performance improvement initiatives, data collection, and dissemination of best practices to enhance safety, quality, and patient satisfaction. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment are essential. The position supports education and competency development, leads interdisciplinary rounds, facilitates transitions of care, and advocates for patients and families throughout treatment and discharge planning. Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed to practice
- Clinical leadership experience
- Precepting/mentoring nursing staff
- Experience in trauma and spine patient care
- Ability to coordinate daily clinical operations and ensure adherence to protocols
