Job Summary
Clinical Nurse Coordinator at Texas Children's Outpatient Fetal Center in Houston, TX. Responsible for direct and telephone nursing care, health teaching, patient advocacy, supervision and coordination of care, and coordination of services for patients outside the ambulatory care setting. Requires RN licensure in Texas, a BSN (or enrollment in a BSN/MSN pathway) and BLS certification, plus 3+ years of nursing experience. Collaboration across departments, coordination with imaging and subspecialists, education of patients by phone, and ensuring staffing needs are met in a fast-paced subspecialty outpatient environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or associate’s degree in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement or an associate’s degree in a related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing for obtaining/maintaining RN license
- RN License by Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse Licensure Compact
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- 3 years’ or more experience in nursing
