Job Summary
Coordinate daily patient care for the outpatient adolescent and young adults clinic, including direct nursing care, health teaching, and patient advocacy. Manage care coordination across departments and subspecialty services, ensuring flexibility and professional communication. Provide initial patient education by phone and arrange visits with diagnostic imaging departments and sub-specialists. Ensure staffing needs are met while maintaining age-appropriate care standards. This role requires an RN license, BLS certification, and three years of nursing experience within a fast-paced medical center setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, associate's degree, or technical diploma in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement
- associate's degree in a related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing for the purposes of obtaining and maintaining an RN license
- currently enrolled in a nursing bridge program working toward an MSN with a verified BSN-equivalency
- signed agreement
- RN License by Texas Board of Nursing
- Nurse Licensure Compac
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- 3 years' or more experience in nursing
