Job Summary
As an Operating Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Charge RN), you will be the resource and liaison between the specialty team, surgeons, and vendors, directing and coordinating all functions in the OR department on assigned shifts. You will oversee patient care, supervise staff, support performance evaluations and coaching, participate in hiring, and ensure compliance with state, federal, and healthcare regulatory agencies. You will work with other CNCs to ensure surgical procedures are thoroughly prepared, verify preference cards and OR schedules, and collaborate with surgical schedulers to streamline workflow. The role requires current Colorado RN licensure, BLS certification, a nursing degree from an accredited program (BSN preferred), two years of acute OR experience, and prior charge nurse/service coordinator experience. The position includes a required on-call component, benefits, and affiliation with HCA HealthONE Swedish in the Denver metro area.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred)
- Two (2) years of acute care experience as an Operating Room (OR) RN
- Previous charge nurse/service coordinator experience
