Job Summary
Clinical Nurse Coordinator responsible for direct patient care and clinical leadership within the Healthcare & Medical Services unit. Oversees daily clinical operations, coordinates staffing and patient assignments, and serves as a resource and mentor for bedside nurses and support staff. Partners with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans, monitor outcomes, drive quality improvement, facilitate unit-based education and orientation, and support discharge planning and throughput. Requires an RN with strong clinical assessment skills, sound judgment, and a passion for coaching and developing others; participates in evidence-based practice and promotes safety, respect, and accountability while guiding staff education, effective team communication, and escalation of clinical or operational concerns.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Leadership and mentoring ability
- Experience coordinating staffing and patient assignments
- Ability to collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Compliance with regulatory and hospital policies
