Clinical Nurse Coordinator Med-Surg

Clinical Nurse Coordinator Med-Surg coordinates nursing care on the unit per shift, directs, monitors and evaluates patient care in accordance with policies, serves as a resource to staff, and promotes an environment that supports outstanding patient outcomes. Responsibilities include assisting with admission and discharge processes, ongoing quality assessment of patient care services, collaboration with management to foster teamwork, supporting a patient-first philosophy and service recovery, implementing nursing strategies (employee rounding, hourly rounds, etc.), guiding interviewing, staffing, training and development, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed, managing staff scheduling and labor efficiency, and overseeing inventory control and supplies. Preferred qualifications include a BSN and national nursing certification in a specialty area; licensed RN in NC with current licensure or valid compact license.
