Clinical Nurse Coordinator, Labor & Delivery

Manage daily operations of the assigned Labor & Delivery department by acting as a liaison between departments and coordinating personnel, patient care, and regulatory compliance. Evaluate and adjust nursing activities, including staffing, resources, and priority setting, while motivating staff through meetings and direct feedback. Supervise nursing and ancillary staff on hiring, training, and evaluation, and establish work schedules to ensure proper departmental coverage. Coordinate admissions and discharges, maintain unit supplies and equipment, and participate in quality improvement and risk management activities. Interpret hospital policies and assist in developing departmental goals and procedures.
