Job Summary
Clinical Nurse Coordinator in the Emergency Department oversees nursing care and coordination during shifts, directs patient flow, participates in quality improvement, mentors staff, assists with admissions/discharges, supports staffing and scheduling, and ensures readiness with mandatory certifications (ACLS, BLS, ENPC, NRP/Neonatal resuscitation program, PALS, TNCC, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention). Requires RN and either an Associate or Bachelor’s degree with certifications within specified timelines; position is full-time night shift with rotating weekends at Colleton Medical Center in Bluffton, SC.
Required Qualifications
- RN (Registered Nurse) as a baseline credential
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitation (NRP) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) either acceptable
- Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
