Job Summary
Provide advanced clinical consultation and expert advice to nursing staff, medical teams, and allied health professionals on all aspects of palliative care. Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based policies, procedures, and clinical practice guidelines. Lead and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients with complex palliative needs. Act as a key resource for education and professional development, facilitate multidisciplinary team meetings, and advocate for patients and families to ensure their choices and cultural needs are respected. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research activities while mentoring nursing staff and liaising with community palliative care services for seamless transitions. Requires current AHPRA registration, a postgraduate palliative care qualification, and minimum five years post-graduate experience with at least three years in a senior clinical role. Required Qualifications
- Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Postgraduate qualification in Palliative Care, or working towards same, or extensive experience in a dedicated palliative care role
- Minimum five years post-graduate experience, with at least three years in a senior clinical role within palliative care
- Demonstrated ability to undertake comprehensive clinical assessments and formulate care plans for complex palliative care patients
- Experience in leadership, education, and quality improvement activities
- Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
- Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children Check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
