Job Summary
Coordinate breast screening and MRI clinics while conducting clinical breast examinations and assisting with procedures such as hookwire localisations and vacuum-assisted biopsies. Manage contrast-enhanced mammography patients and perform breast cancer risk assessments for newly diagnosed and high-risk individuals. Liaise with physicians, surgeons, and radiologists to support treatment journeys, provide patient education, and mentor enrolled nursing staff. Contribute to Breast MDT meetings and ensure safe, evidence-based care across diagnostic and treatment services. This casual role is rostered Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 6:30pm, with flexibility for coverage. Required Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 12 months post graduate experience in Breast Care Nursing
- Post Graduate Certificate in Breast Cancer Nursing, or currently working towards completion
- Previous breast screening experience
- Australian working rights
- Flexibility to assist with annual leave and sick leave coverage
Desired Qualifications
- Experience performing clinical breast examinations
- IV cannulation experience
- Experience assisting patients undergoing contrast-based imaging procedures
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Proven patient-centred focus on safety, quality and compassionate care
