Clinical Nurse B-Inpatient

Job Summary
Provide, coordinate, and document direct and indirect, age-specific, and developmentally appropriate patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Perform the nursing process including assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation in accordance with LLUMC-Murrieta's Professional Practice Model. Supervise and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff in a skills mix environment. Participate in on-call rotation based on department business needs and serve as a Shift Coordinator upon orientation completion. Maintain active California RN licensure and BLS certification while applying theoretical concepts to expand clinical skills and knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of one year experience
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Ability to speak, read and write legibly in English
- Ability to use computer, printer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, electronic medical record, electronic event reporting program
- Ability to troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment
- Ability to perform technical patient care activities
- Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively and professionally with others
- Ability to be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies
- Ability to lead, supervise, teach and collaborate
- Ability to accept direction
- Ability to think critically
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively

- Basic knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation
- Other certifications required as listed in the department-specific Plan for Providing Care
- Must be available for nights
- Must be available for on-call rotation based on department business needs
- Must be able to serve in Shift Coordinator role upon completion of Shift Coordinator orientation
