Job Summary
Clinical Nurse B-Cancer Center provides patient-centered care to oncology patients in outpatient clinics/infusion centers; performs nursing process with minimal supervision; administers complex chemotherapy and targeted therapies per physician orders; may supervise licensed/unlicensed staff and serve as shift coordinator after orientation; flexible and may float to other areas as assigned; requires BSN (in progress acceptable), 1+ year nursing experience with oncology preference; must be an active CA RN with BLS and chemotherapy certification (within 1 year of hire); strong clinical oncology knowledge, EMR competency, and ability to lead and collaborate in a high-acuity setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) required (in progress acceptable)
- Minimum one year of nursing experience required
- Minimum one year of oncology nursing preferred
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Chemotherapy certification required (may be obtained within one year of hire)
