Clinical Nurse

Perform Apheresis procedures autonomously in critical care, emergency rooms, and outpatient centers, including plasma exchange, red cell exchange, leukapheresis, stem cell harvests, photopheresis, and therapeutic phlebotomies. Execute venipunctures, access central venous catheters and ports, and assess patient status relative to therapeutic apheresis using the nursing process and laboratory results. Coordinate closely with physicians and nurses to arrange treatments, evaluate medication compatibility, and act as a consultant to external health care personnel. Assemble, restock, QC, and maintain supplies and equipment in a state of readiness. Variable 1st shift Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with rotating on-call duties. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse and CPR certification required. The American Red Cross provides all necessary training.
