Clinical Nurse - Ambulatory Surgery (PRN)

Ambulatory Surgery Registered Nurse (PRN) provides direct patient care in the Ambulatory Surgery Department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care, and float to the PACU. Responsibilities include promoting patient- and family-centered care, educating patients and families on illness management and post-treatment home care, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop care plans. Requires RN license and 2+ years of ambulatory surgery, PACU, ICU, ED, procedural, or operating room experience. ADN/BSN/MSN candidates are accepted; BSN differential applies. The role supports BJC RN Career Ladder and moves within ladder levels as appropriate. Schedules are flexible PRN; safety-sensitive position within Alton Memorial Hospital, Alton, IL.
