Job Summary
Provide advanced clinical nursing care for patients undergoing Acute Medical procedures, including initiating, reviewing, and coordinating care for those with complex health problems. Supervise clinical practice of all caregivers and ensure compliance with infection prevention, sterilisation, and patient safety standards. Mentor and support nursing staff and students while serving as a patient advocate to protect their rights and safety. Actively contribute to the development of Acute Medical clinical policies and procedures and communicate updates to the Nurse Unit Manager regarding nominated portfolios. This permanent part-time role involves a minimum of 42 hours per fortnight on a rotating shift roster across Monday to Sunday.
Required Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Significant post-registration experience
- Advanced clinical skills
