Job Summary
Manage comprehensive neuroimmunology patient care at the UPMC Multiple Sclerosis Center's outpatient clinic and conduct infrequent inpatient consultations for complex cases. Gain exposure to multidisciplinary teams across neurorehabilitation, neuropsychiatry, and autoimmune encephalitis clinics while participating in clinical trials and a prospective cohort study. Clinician-scientist fellows engage in supervised research tracks covering clinical trials, translational biomarker studies, or data analysis using neuroimaging and machine learning. Complete scheduled didactics including biweekly case conferences, journal clubs, and teaching opportunities for residents and students. Present findings at national or international conferences. The program offers a one-year clinician track or three-year clinician-scientist track with no evening or weekend on-call. Application deadline is July 1 for PGY5 residents; UPMC does not sponsor visas.
Required Qualifications
- Successfully graduated from an accredited adult neurology residency program (or the equivalent) in the United States (or Canada)
- Unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania
- Completed the necessary credentialing prior to the start of the fellowship
- Applicant must be eligible for the SF match
- Start date on July 1 of PGY5 for adult neurology residents
