Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive outpatient care for multiple sclerosis and clinical neuroimmunology patients at the UPMC Magee-Women's Hospital, complemented by infrequent inpatient consultations for complex cases. Gain exposure to multidisciplinary settings including neurorehabilitation, neuropsychiatry, and the autoimmune encephalitis clinic. Participate in supervised research across clinical trials, translational studies, or data analysis tracks if pursuing the clinician-scientist path. Attend scheduled didactics, present at national conferences, and teach residents and medical students. The clinician track lasts one year, while the clinician-scientist track spans three years; no evening or weekend on-call is required. Application is submitted during PGY3 for a July 1 start date in PGY5.
Required Qualifications
- Successfully graduated from an accredited adult neurology residency program (or the equivalent) in the United States (or Canada)
- Unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania
- Completed the necessary credentialing prior to the start of the fellowship
- Clinician track: 1 year
- Clinician-scientist track: 3 years
