Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive outpatient care for patients with multiple sclerosis and clinical neuroimmunology conditions at the UPMC Magee-Women's Hospital. Perform infrequent consultations for complex neuroimmunology cases in the inpatient setting and gain exposure to neurorehabilitation, neuropsychiatry, and autoimmune encephalitis clinics. Participate in supervised research under one of three tracks: clinical trials, translational studies, or data analysis involving neuroimaging and biostatistics. Attend scheduled didactics including biweekly case conferences, journal clubs, and weekly case discussions, while presenting at national or international conferences and teaching residents and medical students. The clinician track lasts one year, and the clinician-scientist track extends to three years.
Required Qualifications
- Successfully graduated from an accredited adult neurology residency program (or the equivalent) in the United States (or Canada)
- Unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania
- Completed the necessary credentialing prior to the start of the fellowship
- Clinician track: 1 year
- Clinician-scientist track: 3 years
