Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive outpatient care for multiple sclerosis and clinical neuroimmunology patients at the UPMC Magee MS Center, supplemented by infrequent inpatient consultations for complex cases. Rotate through multidisciplinary services including neurorehabilitation, neuropsychiatry, and autoimmune encephalitis clinics while participating in clinical trials and a prospective cohort study. Engage in research under faculty supervision across clinical, translational, or data tracks, presenting findings at national conferences and teaching residents. Attend scheduled didactics including biweekly case conferences and monthly journal clubs. This clinician or clinician-scientist track offers 1 or 3 years of training with no evening or weekend on-call. Applications are due for PGY3 residents starting July 1 of PGY5; unrestricted medical licensure in Pennsylvania and U.S. or Canadian residency graduation are required.
Required Qualifications
- Successfully graduated from an accredited adult neurology residency program (or the equivalent) in the United States (or Canada)
- Unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania
- Completed the necessary credentialing prior to the start of the fellowship
- Applicant must be eligible for the SF match
- Start date on July 1 of PGY5 for adult neurology residents
