Job Summary
Clinical Mental Health Internship position providing 1:1 direct behavior analysis services for children ages 4–21 in home and community settings, with shadowing of IIC and BA cases, and responsibilities including data collection, development and implementation of BA Treatment Plans, psychoeducation, crisis prevention/intervention, and caregiver education; requires enrollment in a Master’s Degree program in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field; involves flexible scheduling (2–20 hours/week), opportunities for group therapy, mentorship, and shadowing; requires Driver’s license, background checks, and may involve travel within New Jersey; bilingual abilities a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship (no H-1B sponsorship)
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree Program for Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field
- Completed practicum and enrolled in an internship for a Master’s Degree Program in one of the above fields of study
- BA Certification within 6 months of hire date (DCF COSC Behavioral Assistant Certification)
- At least 2 years’ experience in behavioral healthcare or related field with direct work with individuals with behavioral issues, developmental/intellectual disabilities, or mental illness
- Knowledge of behavioral interventions and some clinical training
- Valid NJ Driver’s license and proof of car insurance
- Valid Social Security Number or work authorization
- Must consent to and pass complete State/Federal Criminal Background Checks
- Bilingual is a plus (Spanish, Portuguese, Creole)
