Job Summary
Mental Health Therapist Intern position performing 1:1 in-home therapy and group therapy with children and youth, implementing Treatment Plans and Positive Behavior Supports, shadowing cases, and completing required documentation (intake, progress notes, treatment plans) while collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team. Part-time hours (2–20 per week) with after-school availability (4–7 pm) and weekend flexibility, focusing on behavior modification, social skills development, anger management, coping strategies, and reducing high-risk behaviors. Requires Bachelor’s Degree and enrollment in a Master’s Degree Program (Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology or related field), Practicum completion or enrollment, crisis intervention training, and experience with DSM-V, CBT/REBT/Gestalt/DBT, and working with youth with disabilities; valid driver’s license and background check required. Bilingual a plus; NJ licensure/reciprocity considerations noted; Willingboro, NJ locations. Note: flexible scheduling and mentorship opportunities are available.
